Report on Generative AI Tools Training Workshop

After 13 months of demand assessments, valuable stakeholders’ engagements, content design and development, prototype design and testing and training with small businesses, we are excited to announce the successful piloting of our Picture-Based Bookkeeping Booklet in Northern, Upper East and Bono Regions.
Recognizing the challenges faced by individuals who lack reading or writing skills in managing bookkeeping, we have developed and implemented tailored strategies to simplify record-keeping. These include the use of symbols, images, color coding, visual aids, and illustrations in place of numerical data or complex calculations. In crafting these tools, we have carefully considered and integrated cultural nuances to ensure they are both accessible and relevant to the communities we serve.
This innovative booklet serves as a vital resource for local small businesses, enabling them to maintain accurate, well-structured records of their operations while enhancing their financial health and ensuring compliance.
Some important books of records contained in these booklets include the cashbook, the sales book, the purchase book, the stock book and the asset register.
As we move forward with refining the booklet based on the insights gained from the pilot, and prepare for its official launch and broader distribution, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to this journey. From the participants who diligently tested the booklet to the stakeholders whose invaluable guidance and collaboration brought this vision to life—thank you for being an integral part of this achievement.
