The Centre offers collaboration with community partners and other stakeholders to conduct social research and Community Outreach activities for academic, government institutions, profit and not-for-profit organizations in area of baseline study, skill gap assessment, industry field analysis, market intelligence and monitoring and evaluation, design and implementation of behavioral change communication campaign, community entry and engagement, system thinking workshops among others.
Our studies are mostly designed in both English and French to inform government or institutional policy with respect to agriculture and food security, water and sanitation, health and nutrition, HIV/AIDS, public health, business development, livelihoods re-establishment, education, youth development, homelessness and housing, demographics, vulnerabilities, community development, disaster and conflict management
Our Sustainable E- hub is EISD’s flagship initiative with an ultimate goal of building the skills, mindset and experiences of businesses, startups and people to be able to thrive in the entrepreneurial world whilst solving teething problems in our communities.
At EISD, our Innovations hub, the EISD Sustainable E-Hub has three main areas of interest. These are in Edu-preneurship, Health-preneurship and Agri-preneurship. Aside these interest areas, we also support other social enterprises and business ideas to success as our ultimate goal is to provide sustainable livelihoods while creating sustainable solutions to the teething challenges of our communities. We have over the years made some strides in these fields and we seek to transform and bring many more business ideas into fruition, whilst ensuring impact in the best of ways.
Based on knowledge, skills and our understanding of our communities and business landscape, our intervention models are self-directed – which prepares learners into becoming professionals. We peruse a hybrid approach that provides participants the best of both worlds, i.e., provides a physical space that welcomes learners into a social and academic environment, ensuring the development of healthy daily routines coupled with personalized and flexible hands-on learning platforms.
We provide both discounted and free business guidance, training programs, consulting services, mentoring, educational workshops, and networking events. Our teams of consultants are specialized in area of business strategy, soft skills, legal, finance, and marketing providing tailor made solutions to each unique story.
The Centre is responsible for planning, modifying and implementing approved career development, job placement and Recruitment activities/services of the Institute.
The Centre assists clients in establishing and developing their career goals and objectives by providing information on career options, networking and guidance and counseling.
Since its establishment in 2015, CPC has planned, deployed, monitored and evaluated hundreds of EISD and AGC pre and basic school teacher trainees, pharmacy technician, medical laboratory technician, medicine counter assistance students for their attachment. The center has also connected numerous graduates with jobs.
The center runs multidisciplinary development-oriented programs designed to equip global citizens with appropriate knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that will make them better people for the world, and the world a better place for all. We provide students with tailor made technical know-how aimed at bringing human societies and individuals in them to the forefront of efforts to find practical solutions to some of today’s pressing development challenges.
The training programs are customized to meet challenges of individuals and organizations. The training is provided by experience and qualified pool of trainers and consultants in our state of art facilities. The training program provided by the center include, School Administration and Management for Head Teachers and School Administrators, pre and basic School Teacher Training, Adult Education and Literacy, ICT, Languages, soft skill master class, organizational development and in – service training and refresher courses.
