The Centre offers collaboration with community partners and other stakeholders to conduct social research activities for academic, government institution, profit, and nonprofit organisations in areas of baseline, midline and endline studies, skills gap assessments, industry field analysis, market intelligence and monitoring and evaluation, gender audits, system thinking workshops, among others. Our studies are mostly designed in both English and French to inform government or institutional policy with respect to agriculture and food security, water and sanitation, health and nutrition, HIV/AIDS, public health, business development, livelihoods, education, youth development, demographics, vulnerable populations, community development, disaster, and conflict management.
Our Sustainable Entrepreneurship Hub is EISD’s flagship initiative to build businesses, startups, and people's skills, mindset, and experiences to thrive in the entrepreneurial world while solving teething problems in our communities. We have over the years made strides in developing businesses. We seek to transform and bring many more business ideas into fruition, tailor-made whilst ensuring impact in the best of ways. Our team of consultants are specialized in the areas of business strategy, soft skills, legal, finance, and marketing as well as providing tailor made solutions to each unique story
The Centre implements projects from the other two centres (i.e. Centre for Social Research and the Sustainable E-Hub) as well as projects from partner organizations. These include projects in health, nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene, livelihood and food security, behavioral change campaigns, advocacy and any other community development initiative that improves the quality of life of the people.
For all EISD projects and programs, we endeavour to integrate appropriate technological solutions to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of their delivery
At EISD, we incorporate the development of the right mindset, positive habits, and essential soft skills into all our training and program models and design. These elements are crucial for individual and societal progress and have been lacking in many entrepreneurial and developmental initiatives, contributing to the varied outcomes observed over time.
